I will be taking the city of Seattle inspectors exam on the 8th of july and have just 10 days or so to review. Anyone know where i mite find sample tests to use for study?
www.iaei.org has the three '99 books and one book for the 2002 version of the three separate inspector tests. The questions for the ICC and the IAEI versions of the test are similar. You have to order over the phone during working hours to obtain these.
stew, iaei/nfpa has a waiting period for your test results. I took the resident and comm in april, no results yet. Icc has study guides that you can order, comm electrical, and residental ,
The test for Seattle was actually very easy. 100 question multiple choice and true false. Sailed thur about 80 of the questions without the aid of code book and then came back to the ones I was unsure of to confirm my answers. Only 3 that I was unsure of even checking with the book. One t/f was whether or not you can have "service fuses" on the line side of the service. I still am not certain but I think you can . Just could not locate a code reference. One other multiple choice question asked what lenght of ltfmc you could use without an egc. It gave 4 very short lengths the longest I beleive was 3 1/2 ". Stumped me. Anyhow overall I believe I did very well and thanks for yor help guys.26 people taking the test that day . 2 hr time limit and I was finished in 1:15. took 15 or 20 min to check my answers (found 2 errors) and was 2nd to leave the room. Anyhow I feel real positive about my score. Thanks again!!!!
well i got my results and got an 85 and the top score was 89. I actuaslly thot i did a bit better but it gets me an interview with the other 7 of 26 who passed
