I have not been to this site in a while so I'm not sure if this question has been posted lately. Under the 2011 NEC it states that if a circuit is extended an Arc Fault "device" is required to supply the extension. I'm awear at least in my area that there is no "devices" available such as receptacles. The addition were the installer had extended the existing circuit was an existing 3-wire circuit. Luckely the panel feeding this was a "GE" & GE has put out a notice that 2 Arc Fault breakers may be used & the neutral conductor for the circuits is to ONLY attach to one of the breakers & the breakers are to be side by side so that a listed handle tie is to be used. Here is the main part of the question. Does "SqD" offer the same fix?
