in the pantry of a office space. The unit has a cord
And plug. Is GFCI protection required for this

I quoted code for a dwelling unit, missed the office space in The OP, but regardless GFCI still required.

"Commercial kitchen" don't matter where it is in the kitchen it needs GFCI.

Other space - yes if within 6 feet of the sink.
