Installation of seals in a Class 1 Div 2

As a contractor, we came across an installation of a natural gas pilot solenoid control valve with no seals. The solenoid is a NEMA 4X rated valve. We believe it should at least NEMA 7/9 rated and have seals installed between the condulet and feeder conduit. Could not find anything in NEC, your help would be appreciated.

The area has not been classfied. I personnaly believe it should be a Claas 1 Div 2.

A standard solenoid valve in a NEMA 1 enclosure is suitable for use in a Class 1 Div 2 area. See 501.7(B)(2). Seals would not be required at the solenoid.
