Installing a hugger ceiling fan on a sloped ceiling

In a prefab aluminum sunroom, The ceiling has a slight slope maybe 1 inch in 12 inches. Customer would like us to install a hugger fan. Instructions say do not do this, have you had any experience with this request? Thanks!
