We would like to install a hood over our island cooktop. We currently have a florescent light about the cooktop and want to know if we can use the power from the florescent light (which will be removed) to power the new hood. We will have recess lights installed in the kitchen and the power will come from a separate chandelier (which will be removed) which is currently in the kitchen.
The florescent light has its own light switch on the wall, the chandelier also has its own light switch on the wall. Does anyone know if we would have to run a separate wire to the braker box in the basement or can we use the power currently used for the florescent light.
Thanks
