I am looking at a large deck job where they are installing the Treks Rainescapes System to divert water from the deck into a membrane trough and gutter system to create a dry area underneath the deck. The ceiling under the deck will be a tongue and groove wood product. Treks Rainescapes has a 20 year guarantee to keep the area under the deck dry (with proper maintenance of course:). My question is does anyone see a problem with using standard damp location recessed fixtures, standard fan rated boxes and romex to wire the area under this system? the website implies that it is no problem.
Thanks in advance

Steve

Yes, for humidity from below, but you may also experience water from above. I suggest using PVC boxes and conduit.
