Installing Modules in FACP

Is there any reason you cannot install modules for the fire alarm system inside the Fire Control Panel?

Other than a lack of space inside the FACP, I don't see why not. Around here we usually mount them right above or next to the FACP in 4" square deep boxes.

it all depends on the FACP, some FACP's actually have a din rail type system that would allow the modules to be installed

Please be more specific. What type of panel, what type of modules, will the panel accept expansion modules, etc.
