Thank you for the help on sizing a cable tray
We are working in a meat processing plant that is being built there are couple of electrical contractors doing the shell of the building. On the second floor they have a hall way which has all the mechanical piping and electrical cable trays. My question is how did they get away with running THHN wire in there cable trays.

392.3 Uses Permitted.
(B) In Industrial Establishments.
(1) Single Conductors.
Single-conductor cables shall be
permitted to be installed in accordance with (B)(1)(a)
through (B)(1)(c).
(a) Single-conductor cable shall be 1/0 AWG or larger
and shall be of a type listed and marked on the surface for
use in cable trays.

I've seen RHHN with TC designation, but not THHN. That is not to say it does not exist.
