Hi All,

I am having issues with the disconnecting means for an insta hot in a commercial building. I know they need a disconnect means, and usually I put a 20A or 30A rated toggle under the sink and passes inspection.

But I have a 50A breaker with #6 conductors, 277V, going to the insta hot. I can't find any toggles rated for 50A or 60A. I could risk it and put a handle tie on the breaker with a lock, but it is not with in site of the breaker.

My question is, can I put a lever disconnect above the T bar grid in the break room or does the disconnect need to be under the sink?

Thanks!

50 amp 277volt ? Why wouldn't that be 30 amp 480? same amount of wire but thinner.
