I have a pending job where the dwelling will utilize ICF's for the basement foundation. Just wondering if anyone has tips or experience in dealing with wire and box installation regarding this construction method.

A router with a dado bit, big hot knife, or a small electric chain saw for notching the styrofoam.

A can of sprayfoam and some zip ties with the built in eyes to secure the NM.

I like to use metal boxes secured with nylon hit pins.

If the house is open enough it can be worthwhile to run some strategic emt because you you can get four circuits, six if you can MWBC, in the same notch that would only hold two romexes.

Never worked on ICF but was wondering why only two NM cables in a notch?

I agree with most of what you said but not the router- unless you can slow it down. High speed bits just melts the styrofoam and gums up the bit.

Oscillating tool works pretty good for cutting foam also. Works even better if you can get your wife or kids to cut it out.
