Hi Gents,

I am currently designing a service entrance for SPE1000 inspection (Canada), 600A, 600V multi aluminum conductor 3x per phase.

It's my understanding that the neutral bar has to also have 3x conductor in/out + 1 additional lug to facilitate a ground neutral bond.

I've always just picked the tallest insulator (4" UL891 / UL67 | V0 compliant), but other Transfer Switches I've seen use only 1".

Am I ok to use a 1" insulator for clearance / creep age purposes? Does the amperage affect the spacing? I've only seen environmental factors and voltage play into the spacing.

Your help is much appreciated!
