My wife after 33 years lost her job due to a buyout. She carried the health insurance that whole time. I’m a sole proprietor contractor wondering if there is an Electrical Workers group plan to apply for. Maybe get a decent group rate. Starting Dec 1st our current coverage is $2500 a month. It’s just myself and my wife, no underlining health problems. There has to be a cheaper way ?? I apologize if this isn’t the right forum to post this I’m just shopping around looking for a better option.

Only way to fix this is for everyone to dump it at the same time, kill it, send the message: my Docs get cash from now on, and may not pay taxes on it. We don’t need no stinking $30k.yr insurance scheme, and pharmaceutical supplies are affordable on the other side of the border.

Obamacare
When that happened my rates tripled being self employed. I had a good plan through Etna that I rolled into after being on COBRA from my previous employer. You know he covered me for a year for no cost to me for a year after I quit. He's really a good guy but tough to work for sometimes. (and both our families were German from the same hill outside of a steel town in Western Pa)
