When smoke detectors are required to be interconnected, do they have to be daisy chained by started at the first, then to second and so on or can they originate at a junction box and spider out to each detector from a common box? If allowed to spider out, then I am guessing the signal wires are all connected together at the common box and signaling goes out to all locations. Admittedly, I have not had a chance to review any installation instruction to answer this question yet. Thanks for comments.
