Hello,
I have a small 225kW Array that needs to be interconnected to a larger 4000A switchgear. Wanted some input regarding below please.
1.) Incoming service feeders are above ground in the electrical room but I am thinking it will not be feasible to do a feeder tap since 4000A needs multiple sets of conductors.
2.) Any concerns with a Bus Bar tap without a breaker/bucket? I will have a fused diconnect within 10' but I read online about possible void with UL certification but is this addressed in the NEC anywhere?
3.) Is it safe to just specify to do the BUS TAP on the OPPOSITE side from incoming service or is this limited to only having a spare breaker on the opposite end?
Thankyou
