Before I click the link, can I ask what it's about?

Sorry Charlie, I do remember having this discussion before. (Not with me of course : ) )

It's about the transmission of wireless electricity and a company that it getting ready to start producing the products for it based on Tesla's work. Since it doesn't work on line of sight you could put a transmitter in the basement or where ever and energize equipment that is set on special pads.

I?m reservedly pessimistic. This seems to be nothing more than a Panasonic rechargeable toothbrush on steroids. I can see a future use for this technology in the field of lighting; offering infinite flexibility.
I?m not selling my business yet.

I think it's great and it's about time something new is happening with electricity. I had

thought by now that c.b.s would have a little window with a readout for volts and amps,

and that conductors would of progressed somehow to be smaller and tougher, but it is

pretty much the same as when it started. I mean, look at planes, cars, manafacturing

processes, tv's, on and on, what do we have (afci's) ? Sure, the equipment we use is

better than the original stuff but the task hasn't changed much.

Wireless Electricity , yeah, bring it on.

The only way Tesla's system will be realized is when someone figures out,
"Where to put the meter." Tesla wanted FREE power to be available
to EVERYONE. When someone does finally figure out how to meter
"Free" power,on their way to the patent's office, they might as well
stop by Tesla's grave and spit on it.

I wonder if the reporter went to purchase gas after viewing this and found that none of his credit cards worked because their magnetic strip had been scrambled.

the only thing that comes to mind is that electromagnetism works the same
way as all other radient energy.... double the distance, quarter the effective
energy....

so... how efficent will it be?

i see a value in cellphones, laptops, and smaller portable loads.... but when
you want to hook up your welder, better bring some #6.....:D
