Went to a hotel the other day to look at a pool pump tripping breakers, and the chlorine injector system was the problem and looked just like that box in the photo, the manager ask me if I could make it work, told him I was an electrician not Houdini.

I looked at a sewage lift station control panel the other day that looked that bad. I quoted to replace it totally, but someone else thought they could repair it, and under cut my quote. More power to them!

It controls some valves for brine feed to four overgrown water softeners. Of course there is more to the entire mess, but this is a shining example of the type of thing encountered in water treatment as a couple others have noted here. NEMA 12 may be what the customer wants, but even if it is not a washdown application, 4X still has a place!

Stainless 4x and duck seal... when everything else is falling apart at least you will be able to close the box in a few years.:)
