Is it normal for a Intermatic T101R to spark when switching off a pool pump motor.? I just noticed this today while down at the panel. The wiring is fairly straight forward, timer is next to panel (THHN Line side to GFCI breaker), (Load side timer out THHN/THWN PVC pipe to outdoors to a single pole switch and then to a L5-20 Twistlock for motor.

Maybe normal but thought I would check to make sure something isn't wrong with wiring and or timer .

Thanks in advance
Jack

I don't know what style timer that is off the top of my head, and too lazy to look it up, so I'm not going to pitch an opinion out there. :)

Jack, just about every mechanical timer I see sparks, especially when opening toe supply to a motor.
