A bit of a distribution/terminology question.

What exactly is an "interposer" and why would it be referred to as a "low side interposer?"

Thanks all!

Re: Interposer

Reaching behind me, I take my trusty IEEE Standard Dictionary of Electrical and Electronic Terms from the shelf and find:
interposing relay (1) (of a supervisory system)(power switchgear). An auxiliary relay at the master or remote station, the contacts of which serve: (1) to energize a circuit (for closing, opening, or other purpose) of an element of remote station equipment when the selection of a desired point has been completed and when suitable operating signals are received through the supervisory equipment from the master station; or (2) to connect in the circuit the telemeter transmitting and receiving equipments, respectively, at the remote and master stations. Note: The interposing relays are considered part of a supervisory system.
(2) (station control and data acquisition). A device which enables the energy in a high-power control signal.

Re: Interposer

Thank you! I shall definitely get a copy of that. Thanks again.
