Is it OK to mount an Intersystem Bonding Bridge low to the ground, maybe about 10-10" above grade? There is only about 14-16" of the GEC exposed before it goes into the house so putting the bonding block down low would be the easiest way to add it.

Not an issue.

Thank you!

FWIW, I do look into things like this before asking the question, and I didn't see anything in 250.94 or anywhere else that I thought may be applicable. But many times I find that something small like this ends up costing money to fix or redo so I like to be sure I get it right the first time

Let's say that I couldn't put the IBB on the GEC. Would it be OK to just come out of the service disconnect with a #6 to connect to it?

Would 250.94(4) allow what you've proposed?

250.94 Bonding for Other Systems. An intersystem bond-
ing termination for connecting intersystem bonding con-
ductors required for other systems shall be provided exter-
nal to enclosures at the service equipment or metering
equipment enclosure and at the disconnecting means for
any additional buildings or structures. The intersystem
bonding termination shall comply with the following:
(4) At the service equipment, be securely mounted and
electrically connected to an enclosure for the service
equipment, to the meter enclosure, or to an exposed
nonflexible metallic service raceway, or be mounted at
one of these enclosures and be connected to the enclo-
sure or to the grounding electrode conductor with a
minimum 6 AWG copper conductor

That looks like it would work just fine.

But I wouldn't be connecting to the "the enclosure or to the grounding electrode conductor" directly, I would be connecting to them via the ground/neutral bar.
