Hello fellow Electricians. I have been in the trade for many years starting out in residential and commercial construction and am now working as a multi crafted Maintenance Tech. I joined this forum some time ago and have been absent as time prevented me from enjoying the conversations.

At any rate, I have come back and look forward to enjoying the topics that typically come up here.

My question is, when installing a new 110v Duplex Outlet, is it the "norm" to mount them inverted, where the Ground Prong is above the power and neutral connection? I have heard several opinions on this and would like to get some professional input. Any code related answers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time people

Either direction is NEC acceptable and "opinions" are rampant to no end. Welcome to the
Forum and do not take offense as I am closing this thread as it is an issue that only takes up space with no resolve.
