Any ideas what codes may apply for a homeowner that wants to install a series of batteries with an inverter (no PV system) to a transferswitch to run a sump pump? This will be a backup to his generator backup that already exists. I think some UL issuse may arise, battery storage, but not sure about inverter and transferswitch. Anything else? Thanks

Just have the homeowner visit the local plumbing supply house, where they have a UL-listed system sitting on the shelf. Plug the system into the wall, and the pump into the system, and you're done. Just like the UPS systems for computers.

SUMP PUMPS.
There are two NEW pump sumps for sewage. One is lead and the other lag. They are 240, single phase, 30 a fuses. A set of fuses blew up. Soooo, when either pump is on a one at a time the amperege is correct, BUT when they both are on the amprege doubles...any ideas as to why.
Yes, there are a total of four seperate circuits.
