Just wondered if anyone has heard about the need for electricians in Iraq. I know Bechtel corporation was awarded the contract an heard they were looking for electricians, and instrumentation techs.
I'm not in the union but I'm thinking about it. I've seen some hokey contractors using fry cooks as electricians. And yelling at them to improve performance to boot. Demeaning to everyone! But I live in California. What are ya gonna do?
Forget Iraq! Living here in SW Florida, I am just waiting for Cuba to open. The project oportunities and need for electrical contractors is gong to be crazy. Work all week, fly back home for the weekend. I am only two hours away by air!!!!!
If you are interested in overseas work check out The web site roadwhore.com, This is for the people who work on a contract basis to get information on the contract jobs, Or search the net for contract employment companys. I know a few but I do not think it is good to give out names on this board.
The pay is great "BUT" the work is long and not in the best conditions. And some only allow you to travel back home once every three months! So if you are married you can line up your Divorce lawyer before you go.
