A member in an RV forum posted " The NEC specifically allows the use of a 30A breaker to protect a circuit that utilizes standard NEMA 5-15R or 5-20R outlets."
Is there any circumstance under which code allows this? The forum member was not able to come up with the code reference when someone asked about it but was sure it was buried in the code somewhere. I thought a max. 20 amp breaker was allowable? Perhaps it was related to a dedicated motor circuit?
