Is a disconnect required for a fan controlled by remote?

I have an area where I would like to use a rf (remote)switch to an outdoor fan on the screened in porch.

(To avoid fishing wires and cutting the siding and sheet rock.)

Would I still need a hard wired switch. I thought about installing one up near the fan somwwhere on the cieling.
Do y'all think it's necessary?

Read 430.109 (B) Stationary motors of 1/8 horsepower or less. For stationary motors of 1/8th horsepower or less, the branch circuit overcurrent device shall be permitted to serve as the disconnecting means.

Most fans are rated at less than 1/10 HP. If you want to you could put a cheap breaker lock on the breaker but not required. I use some of the cheap breaker locks that are less than $4 ea. And just mark the breaker.

This also works for appliances.

Thanks Growler, your cool.
You know this could be pretty significant.
Since lot's of HO's are useing remote controlled fans. In a new house . If you have an understanding that they will use remote or rf switches for their fan.
You would not need a wall switch at all in the bedrooms and perhaps the living room , bonous room, etc.
Just pull your hot from fan box to fan box.
You could use a pop in box to recess a battery operated rf switch.
