In several locations in the shop that I work in there are 480V/3PH Pin and Sleeve Receptacles. I would say 3 out of 8 have disconnects before the receptacle and the sub panel that the receptacles are feed from are in an ajoining building. My question is; Is a disconnect required in such a situation?

If these receptacles serve motors or motor driven appliances take a look at 430.109(F).
