I need space in a GE panel that uses THQB breakers. I have read that a Eaton DNBA2020 breaker is approved to be used in a panel that uses THQB breakers. Is this true in the opinion of the experts on this site?

You have to find the instructions that will tell you if that breaker is classified for use in other manufacturer's panels.

Many times you can load check circuits and find something that has a very minimal load.

Combine a circuit and you have an open space.

I done it countless times and never had issues.

Just a suggestion.

I was wandering around eBay & Eaton seems to have one, unfortunately. Still there is the issue of being UL classified for competitive panels or not.
People selling stuff on sites like FleaBay will tell you anything you want to hear in order to make the sale. They have zero consequences for something going wrong.

Eaton does sell CL line "Classified" breakers that can be used in GE panels to replace THQL breakers. But they are ONLY the plug-in style, not the THQB bolt on.

The breaker looked like a BR with a BA, tab. Most definitly a bolt on, but I would assume just for Eaton equipment unless proven otherwise.

This is a link I found from fleabay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3349798190...a+z6KKnqnk=|tkp:BFBM9OSmovFk&var=544200941876
