Is a Main Disconnect required here?

Do I need a main disconnect where shown in the sketch, ahead of the tap box, since there are more than 6 disconnects downstream of the tap box?

When it was discussed earlier you were going to keep the 400 amp switch to protect the meter center. If that is still the case you only have 2 mains (the 600 $ the 400) and no added main is needed (assuming you meet the AHJ requirement on service conductor length)
