Is there anything in 517 that requires door frames to be bonded? I haven?t found anything in the NEC and NFPA 99 4.3.3.1 doesn?t require the door to be tested as part of the Ground System Testing because it?s ?not likely to become energized?. I?ve seen this done on jobs before but I?m not sure if it was a specification or code item.

I could see if it was in the specifications, it may be part of the job. As Roger mentioned, it is not a code issue.
My Opinion
Anyone putting this in the specifications today, generally is either way behind the times or just does not understand what the need is for.
