So i have an attached, uncovered deck that is 2ft high, with a crawspace underneath, bricked in on all sides, with crawspace accessible only by a small access door. There is a type UF electrical cable in the deck crawspace that connects to an outdoor outlet, stapled to the joists. According to the NEC, does this cable need to be in conduit? Everything i read says yes, but the only difference between the deck crawspace and the under house crawspace, is the deck crawspace's potential wet location from exposure to rain between the deck planks.
thanks!
