An above ground diesel pipeline is being install from along the banks of a waterway to a fuel tank farm approximately 750' away. There is a refill station with an attachment to accept a fuel hose from the barge. This will allow refueling of the tanks from a fuel barge in the waterway. The tanks can already be refueled from fuel trucks on land. The diesel pipeline is supported above ground on concrete piles.

The refill station is bonded to ground. The piping is in contact with the refill station. Is this adequate or should a bonding conductor be installed along the entire route of the pipe?

Anybody know of a standard(s) I can refer to for guidance on this.

thanks,

Ricky--
