Is it acceptable to run tray cable in flex conduit?

I don't know what trey cable is, but I can't think of a reason why you couldn't.

Sorry it's was a typo it's # 4/3 with bare ground.

To answer your question, yes, you can run TRAY Cable in conduit, and 2” flex is fine for 4/3 w/g, even if shielded.

Hi Larry the guys from the supply house told me it was a Tray Cable and it has 3 insulated conductors #4 and a bare # 8 ground. It's a direct burial but was told I had to have it covered just where it comes up out of the ground
