HO brought this counter and it makes me wonder where to place gfcis on SABCs.
Its a combination of counter and dining table.
There are 3 ovals - green , yellow and blue as possible locations for receptacles.
Please help me decide where to install the outlets.
thank you.

If it's possible to combine the existing GFI to the left of the switch with the switch in a 2-gang box, I'd do that and add a receptacle at the end of the counter.

Edit to add: I'd also look into combining the cable box with the GFI in the far corner as well. That short little wall looks awful with all those openings.

You have a receptacle to the left of the sink within 24" or so it seems. You now need one on the right side where you have it marked. You can use a sillite receptacle there.

My gut feeling was add receptacle to the right of sink (blue oval) to comply with code minimum. But i don't have any backing for that.
thanks

That 14" counter space behind faucet was confusing me.

I understand your confusion because one could say that the receptacle on the wall serves the peninsula to the left of the sink and since the overhang is more than 12" then another outlet at the end is not necessary. I think this could be an authority having jurisdiction call because 210.52(C)(3) calls for a receptacle at each peninsula countertop space. What does that mean--- does it need to be on the peninsula or will the wall one work.

If there wasn't a sink, then IMO a receptacle is needed at the end so adding the sink should not change anything

Not possible. I could add one to where switch is but then it gets even uglier. We are only concerned about code minimum.
