I want to hide an adapter in the ceiling of my house. According to NEC that is not allowed.

The adapter converts 100-240V to 24V.

Is there a way that I can put the adapter in the ceiling and IC rate it or fire rate it? I know that there are some boxes or fire-proof materials. Can I potentially build something around the adapter to protect the house in case the adapter was to ever catch a fire and also make it compliant with the NEC code?
