is NM allowed to be used in Burbank

Hi,
I have a job that is mine if I want. It's in Burbank CA. It's residential and I was wondering if you can use NM these days. Many years ago it was not permitted.
anyone out there know for sure.

They have adopted the CA 2013 electrical code which is the same as NEC 2011. I am 90% sure that NM cable should be OK.

Here is what I found online. Just basic NM cable protection as required per NEC and other jurisdictions.
