I want to wire 5 floor lights in a building.

These lights terminal box has no capacity to make loop in-loop out.
So I decided to provide a single junction box (embeded in floor) and take
out wires from there in a star fashion.

My doubt is that is it o.k to use single junction box OR else I have to
use junction box for each of lights,ie 5 junction boxes.

thanx in advance

I?m sure it?s very clear in your mind, but for me you didn?t include enough information for me or those playing along at the house or in the field to advise you.

What model of floor light are you talking about?

What?s the wire size you want to loop in or out?

Inserting an electrical box; is the box to be directly covered by the lamp? In no case would I have a single distribution box or cover exposed on a finished floor. Can you just drill a hole and work all this from the underside of the floor? Let me guess the floor makes it an 18? foot ceiling from below.

Is this new construction, or are you cutting wood or concrete, frankly there is a lot of work in any case!
If your thinking 1.5 by 4x4 or even a 2.5 by 4x4 it just depends on the wire you want to loop in and out plus the fixture wire size. The math will be on you.

I'm sure others or I can present some other suggestions, you just need to feed the monster with information!

Welcome Back?
