Often a pool cover uses a conductive metal beam to support the cover and per NEC standard 250 & 680 is is required to be a part of the equipotential bonding grid around the pool. Are there any exceptions to the bonding requirement such as insulating a part? If so where could I find the standard that would provide some support so I know what a proper insulating barrier would be?
Is there a NEC pool insulating standard that would allow a conductive part not to be bonded?
