I have a chiller that has two parallel feeds that are not currently long enough to terminate to the chiller is there a rule about tapping the feeder with polaris taps and how long they are allowed to be?

It sounds like you mean splicing onto conductors that are too short, not tapping. Are there actual feeder taps involved?

If the spliced conductors have at least the same current rating as the feed it is not a tap per article 240.

Splice yes that is what I mean. I would be splicing 480 v 4 wire.

Parallel fed.

So I would be splicing with Polaris taps in a junction box.

Is the a code requirement that states it can or can not be allowed.

Or it can only be so long?
