---------- Went to a place for lunch this afternoon and saw this installation, is this what we call the "teamwork" effort?

Not sure what you mean. Looks like a standard speaker jack probably for left and right channels.

Looks like an existing light switch modification with coaxial cable terminals went through? lol

They do accept banana plugs, but the knurled sleeves unscrew to expose through-holes for wires, then snug down for a secure connection, kinda like speaker terminals on most modern audio equipment.

I think that is true on both sides of the plate.
