The code does not recommend isolated receptacles. It does allow them.

Based on my experience, most AHJ's would probably like to see isolated ground system go away. More often than not they are not installed correctly. Some even downright unsafe like tying the IG to a separate UNBOUNDED grounded rod.

The code never recommends or requires them, because there is no situation where they are actually needed. IG is a relic of the days when electronics were new and didn't behave well - mostly analog interference problems. This just isn't much of an issue anymore because sensitive equipment has the necessary filtering and isolation built in.

As mentioned 250.96(B) and 250.146(D) permits it and offers some rules, but nobody uses them anymore. There are other section too.

You don't mean isolated power system, right? Like in Chapter 5?

I installed an isolated system last year. If the engineer wants it put it in. But I'm assuming it's a commercial building so the receptacle locations will be on the print. From the little I've seen they usually want one near each desk that will have a computer.
