Can an isolated receptacle and regular receptacle be fed from the same 120V circuit? Both receptacles are NEMA 5-20R, i.e. isolated receptacle has both isolated and equipment ground wires while regular receptacle only has one equipment ground wire.
Like it is not "isolated" anymore?Yes they can but it kind of defeats the purpose of an IG system.

Couldn’t think of any issues when they share same circuit but term “isolated” kind of warns me something… not sure. Not really. The separate IG conductor can pass through the regular receptacles and terminate in the ground screw of the IG receptacle. So the IG receptacle ground pin would have the isolated ground while the "regular" receptacle would get it's EG from normal means. This assumes you use IG cable with a separate green/yellow IG conductor.
But the question is would there be a problem with devices connected to the IG receptacle and regular receptacles because they share the same hot and neutral. My opinion is probably not, but I'm also of the opinion that IG receptacles have no use today too.

In reality they are dedicated ground receptacles, even though our industry calls them isolated.Couldn’t think of any issues when they share same circuit but term “isolated” kind of warns me something… not sure.
