(This is not a post about incorrectly programmed remotes - I understand how RF works and modern ceiling fan remote programming)

I have an issue that can't be explained by the manufacturer or my licensed electrician. I had two Casablanca intellitouch fans in my living room. They have been up for nearly 40 years I imagine, and were working completely fine. For aesthetics, I replaced the fans with two new Monte Carlo fans. I obviously had to replace the intellitouch switches (incidentally, cool technology for the time). I replaced them with basic single pole switches, and each has a home run from the switch to each fan. So two fans, each with its own home run to one single pole switch (each, so 2 switches total).

The problem is that while both fans are receiving power, only one will operate at a given time. I know both fans are receiving power because they each operate when the other is shut off at the wall switch, and when both wall switches are turned on both RF receivers will beep when the corresponding remote sends a signal. Only one fan will spin at a given time though. If both wall switches are on and one fan is spinning, if I power the spinning fan off with the wall switch the other will start spinning (without even touching its remote). There is no AC "jumper" or AC connection between the fans - they only home run to the wall switch.

The manufacturer tried to help but kept blaming the "non-fan" electrical work, which I don't agree with. I spent a lot of time with them on the phone and with my own licensed electrician.

It's hard to imagine that both RF receivers are defective, or the wiring is incorrect because the fans function correctly when only one or the other has power (again from the wall switch, forget the remote). Has anyone come across this and possibly has some advice? I have a video on my google drive I can share, if that's helpful.
