The more people I talk to, the more I realize this recession is in full force down hear. It really reminds me of 92. We had no work, a summer with very dry conditions and then POW. I really hope we don't get an Andrew, but I think it's going to take that to inject a spend attitude in people.

Try putting on a buffalo robe and shaking a snake at your phone. What do you have to lose?

It's not confined just to South FL and I expect it to last a while longer. I don't think the residential market will ever be what it was.

At an evening ball game, the topic of everyone holding on to their money came up, and everyone had a way to save comment, what surprised me was how many were giving up things like paid TV and excessive cell phone usage, but at the same time they thought it was a great time to add an addition to their home with the low interest rates, so if that is the general thinking, there may be some hope for work picking up.
