Remember the day when you need a Photofact or schematic you just went in to your local service parts store or call the appliance dealer. Well that seems to be over. How I know this is because I have tried getting Photofact from the source. I have called an American Dealer Magnavox to purchase 19PRC10 Photofact, all they seem to want too discuss is their newer models. Do you think it's time to request for Photofact or Schematic through The Freedom Of Information Act?

The trademarked Sam's Photofact schematics were obtained from electronic equipment (audio, TV, radio, etc.) manufacturers while the equipment was new and was archived and reprinted to meet later demand.
I do not know if that company is still in business. For current equipment, the need for it has been pretty much satisfied by free schematics on the internet. I do not know of any legal theory under which one could request internal trade secret or limited publication information from anyone who may currently have it.
The FOA is limited to government entities and their documents and records.
