My grandson works for a roofing company. He says the harness and tie offs worked just fine. He also knows what he did wrong to test them. A successful safety lesson for his whole crew.
Only Minor details that he hung over the roofs edge for a few minutes until crew got a ladder to him. Of course they gave him a hard time about hanging around and not getting anything done. Typical construction BS. (He does like his job.)

I see many roofers that never tie off or even own a harness. Working on a 6/12 - 10/12 with no fall protection seems like an accident waiting to happen.
5/12 down I’m pretty comfortable walking around blowing leaves out of my gutters on my shop, but only because it’s only 9-10’ high.
On my house is another story. I don’t get up there at all. Bucket truck to clean gutters works for me..
