I've passed the ICC Electrical Maintenance Class C test last week! I don't really have any need for this paticular license but you never know. I've been enjoying taking electrical tests to challenge myself and to stay on top with the code. I plan on taking the Louisiana state test, but I think that test is a joke. The book is tested on the 93' code. Alot of people, not all, are taking so-called classes to prepare. What they're really doing is studying the answers for the test word for word. In my opinion, it's cheating and I'm a little disgusted by the program. Ironic, these guys can file permits, but somewhat clueless about doing the work. How do others feel about this? I plan on taking the test on any given day with no studying at all. I've been getting the feel for the method and realize it doesn't matter what year code book is.
I don't feel that I could've achieved as much without the aid of the Mike Holts Exam Prep Books and the knowledgable posters of this board. This forum has inspired me to a new level of professionalism of our trade. Once again, Thanks...............James.
