Re: jacuzzi's

Do you mean "branch circuit" instead of "feeder?" The difference in terms can produce a substantial difference in wiring methods. These details cannot be ignored.

Re: jacuzzi's

I meant the part that is in the basement. Can i use romex? I thought I saw that it had to run in pipe.

Re: jacuzzi's

680-1 hot tub.I guess as long as you have a insulated ground you can use mc or conduit right?

Re: jacuzzi's

jersey,

So we don't play 20 questions here, how about you tell us everything about this situation first?
Also, it would help to know what type of contractor you are so we will be able to answer your question better.

Re: jacuzzi's

People were just trying to help. The questions asked were not relevant to the wiring inside the building. They are relevant to what will be required outside the building.

If you were not sure of the answer to your question, I think it is logical to assume you might not be aware of some other issues.

Again, people are just trying to help.

Re: jacuzzi's

now what is needed for the installation of a small whirlpool 1.5 HP 120 volts in a bathroom of course inside a house? Does the faceless GFI have to be insight of the tub or could we just install a GFC breaker?

Re: jacuzzi's

Some cities have a local code that if the unfinished basement is 7ft or lower you must run pipe.
If above 7ft you can drill the joists and run romex. :p

Re: jacuzzi's

Websparky is right, put all of your information into a single post. it makes it much easier for us to correctly answer your question?

Equipotential ground apply here?
New Jersey is still under the 2002 NEC.
