Is a smoke purge system for a jail facility considered an Emergency, Legally Required Stand-by, or Stand-by system (NEC Articles 700, 701, 702)? References?
My first instinct was that it's Life Safety and would fall under 700. However, 701.2 (2014 NEC) Informational Note lists "ventilation and smoke removal systems" so I guess it falls there. As usual, the AHJ is the final arbiter.
