Go to a theatrical supply shop and get a sheet of red lighting gel. Last time I got one it was 2' x 3' and cost 5 bucks. Cut it with plain old scissors and fit it into the existing glass.

Thanks for the help.
This is on a fire barn, old fixture was moved indoors damaged lens, looks like old vapor type.
They gave us a new jelly jar with clear lens to replace old fixture. We put a red cfl in, no good.
We put a cfl in and painted the clear lens red, ok.
One year later, this week the are looking for a new lens for the old fixture and a real red lens for the new fixture.
Looking into lens problem, we did get work for 2 openings in the sleeping area.
