I've been growing more and more concerned with the amount of junk I breathe in at work. Examples are being in the same vicinity as others doing demo work, sanding drywall, cutting concrete or installing insulation, general dust from disturbing things, working in attics, or drilling/sawing drywall. I've also worked in plants where there is a "fog" from the oil used in manufacturing and there is the ever present hazard of asbestos being in the concrete you drill.
What are others in the real world doing to deal with this? Do you keep a mask on hand at all times? Do you not worry about it?
Does anyone have the OSHA regs about this?
I would appreciate any comments on the issue with the exception of those idealistic solutions from those not familiar with conditions on a typical construction site or remodel job.
